PART XV

I was shopping today and overheard "If You Don't Know Me By Now" by Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes. It's amazing how music can transport you into another time. I was immediately taken back to riding in the car with my family, heading home from our summer cottage. Those vacations are among my favorites. My dad would play Top 40 on the radio, which he listened to, well into his forties, before reverting to Frank Sinatra, Glenn Miller, Nat King Cole and the music of his youth. There is something about this age, somehow youthful and current, yet nostalgic, at the same time. It fits my approach to moviemaking right now. It feels... all encompassing, and ageless, sometimes, emotionally overwhelming, yet thrilling!

Post-production of THE SCARAPIST is moving along steadily! Edits are becoming final, as new edits are coming into play. The score continues to be developed and polished. New ideas enter in. Our VFX and CGI teams are creating worlds. It's a sort of leap of faith, the creative collaboration growing, the whole emerging from the sum of parts. The outcome is uncertain, focused but unknown. I am so proud to be a part of this process and this team. We are working to bring you an exciting and memorable cinematic experience, one that I hope will take you back, and bring you forward.
